Seattle is gaining an average of over 3,000 new residents per month and has proven to be a city with staying power. Perhaps it’s Seattle’s proximity to the pristine Pacific Northwest playground, the growing number of jobs, or the innovative and vibrant spirit that flows throughout the city – or maybe it’s just the bountiful supply of oysters. Whatever it is, Seattle offers an environment and lifestyle for everyone.
As a resident and admirer of Seattle, I am excited to illuminate all that the Emerald city has to offer with the launch of my new website.
As we move into summer selling season, the Seattle real estate market shows no sign of slowing the rapid growth it has seen over the past years. We are seeing an influx of new residents to the city, historically low inventory and a strong economy, which are all bolstering a highly competitive housing market.
Seattle’s own Silicon Valley has experienced record breaking growth thanks to the ever-expanding Amazon campus as well as newer additions like Facebook, Apple, Tableau, and Google. It was reported that the city’s tech industry added 19,524 jobs between 2013 – 2015. Additionally, between May and August 2016. Amazon posted 11,042 job openingswith projections of continued growth. The comparisons between Seattle and San Francisco are many, but one way Seattle sets itself apart is the lower cost of living.
Summer has officially arrived in Seattle, albeit a bit early. To celebrate, I would like to share some of my favorite spots around the city that you shouldcheck out this summer, from hidden hiking spots to the best happy hours around.
