Whether it’s a short $10 ride from Capitol Hill to Pike Place or paying the average $80 daily rate for a ZipCar, people living in the city are opting for options beyond owning their own car, and are loving the results.

Market Update: First Half of 2017
 
The heat of summer is being felt across the Seattle metro area, especially in housing. The region continues to post new benchmark values for median home prices while a mounting supply and demand imbalance in downtown Seattle is exasperating homebuyers. There are plenty of buyers. The problem is it can take up to four years to migrate a new high-rise from conception to closing. Until then, the result is higher prices, less selection and dwindling prospects for attainable ownership into the next decade.

Amazon Prime Day Breaks Record; Sales Grew by More than 60% 
 
Amazon's third annual Prime Day was quite the success, marking the "biggest day ever" for the tech company, surpassing 2016 Black Friday and Cyber Monday results. "Prime Day sales grew by more than 60 percent from the same 30-hour window in 2016, with a 'record number' of Prime members shopping across 13 countries."
